PRESENTATION

Founded in 1991, the European Federation of Catholic Universities (FUCE) was established to contribute actively to the global network of Catholic higher education, inspired by the momentum of European integration and the development of the European Union.

At the end of the 1990s, a comparative study conducted by FUCE highlighted the shared strengths and common identity of Catholic universities in Europe, reinforcing the need for closer cooperation, particularly in the context of the Bologna Process, launched in 1999 to promote compatibility and mobility within European higher education.

Today, FUCE brings together 61 universities across Europe and Lebanon, including institutions in Europe and Lebanon, fostering collaboration, academic exchange, and the shared mission of Catholic higher education.

FUCE represents 554.714 students in Europe and Lebanon
