The project "European Humanism in the Making"
Inspired by Pope Francis’ call to "the soul of Europe" (Charlemagne Prize 2016), the EFCU has since 2015 started developing a vast project aimed at reconsidering the pillars of European humanism on a moral, religious, philosophical, anthropological, historical, scientific and political level. It emanated in a summer school for bachelor students entitled "European humanism in the making". Reinterpreting Christian ethics in all fields of culture, thought, politics and citizenship 5 universities have developed 5 course modules that questionthemes such as European conscience, violence, crises, poverty, hope.
This program, bringing together experts from different European backgrounds, is intendedto awaken the consciousness of the students who are members of the federation’s universities on the major issues of European humanism.
